Quality control Assistant Manager
Timpl has partnered with a 1 tier supplier for a global automobile manufacture and is seeking for a Quality control Assistant Manager.
Core Responsibilities
1. Quality System Implementation & Oversight
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) to uphold company and customer standards.
- Ensure ongoing compliance across production processes and documentation.
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and train quality control inspectors or technicians.
- Conduct internal audits and guide corrective action implementation.
3. Inspections, Audits & Data Analysis
- Oversee and execute regular inspections, audits, and testing to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Analyze quality data (e.g., SPC metrics, defect trends) to identify issues and drive continuous improvement.
4. Supplier Quality Management
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements, handle nonconforming parts, and implement corrective or preventive actions.
- Manage supplier quality programs, including audits, performance monitoring, and supplier development.
5. Quality Planning & Compliance Activities
- Manage key automotive quality frameworks such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Ensure these tools are properly applied in product development and production to minimize defects and meet customer expectations.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain quality reports—including audit findings, performance metrics, and corrective action status—for management, suppliers, and customers.
- Keep quality documentation (e.g., inspection manuals, control plans, work instructions) up to date.
